What is our wish list for the Brazilian screener? Consider the features we want first in a Stage I machine and what we will want in a Stage II machine.
In my opinion, the mouse can be more friendly for customers. I think it's more intuitive and with mouse you can reach faster to any point of the screen. If we use a direction keypad for example and you have 10 options for asnwering the correct letter of a test, you need to push several times the keys for cross the screen. Or for example if we want the patient writes his name or other data it will be faster and easier if they navigate with the mouse over a keyboard showed on the screen.
Take a look at this site:

It may give some ideas how to design the self-test.
For the self-test, would it be better to have a keypad or a mouse?
ReplyDeleteWe are continuing to work on the digital screener. We have selected several displays to try out. They are in engineering now.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the order of user friendly is: touch pad; mouse; keypad (coincidently, cost decreasing....). So, I vote to the old fashion mouse.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the software platform, definitely Lynux !!
Would the mouse operate from the hardware in the screener or through a separate computer?
